maybe isn’t the most comforting response, but he doesn’t have time to argue against his father’s ability to move.    they needed to get OUT OF THERE.    so if logan thinks he can run, then he has to at least try.    the wolf follows behind, heightened abilities keeping up a quick pace as to outrun the hunters currently trailing them.    ‘     we can’t go home.    they’ll follow us and find dad.     ’    who is human and, while badass, would be caught completely off guard.    the rage of a wolf still fresh, deacon can’t help but to turn his head and let out a low, guttural growl, hoping to intimidate those that are trying to harm them.    sadly, however, it’s not affective, evident in the arrows currently being shot at them.         you got any ideas of a place we can go?

A PLAN. oh yes, he had a plan, but it would be a tad trickier to enact with his son within dangers reach.  ❛  ─  we’re not going home. not right now at least.  ❜  he mutters lowly, teeth clenched, while he feels bones grate together with every single movement. every once in a while, the wolf paused, catching an arrow from midair before sending it hurling through the air ; piercing a hunter each time. HE’S GOT GOOD AIM AFTER ALL.  ❛  … there’s a cabin a mile ahead, it’s deserted. you should be able to take cover there. beyond that. i will handle it.  ❜

there’s a temptation to move with blinding speed through the shadows and dig his fingers into the tender muscle of his throat, tearing and slashing and luxuriating in the scarlet tide. he’s not a fan of cheap shots or mischaracterizations. but he also lacks the insecurity which might motivate him to go to such lengths. his apathy keeps him nearly comatose in response. besides, Logan wasn’t wrong – they were both strangers to the other. the sensible, peaceful response bored Alec, but he supposed it wasnt an unfair evaluation.  ‘ whatever – I guess. bottom line is I don’t care in the slightest who you kill when you go all feral and wolfy. in fact, I always loved dogs. its sorta dog-adjacent, right? ’

I DUNNO. vampires, it’s sorta mosquito-adjacent, right? ❜  he snipped back before he could quite get the message to his brain to simmer the hell down. the wolf have liked to chalk it up to the adrenaline from the slaughter, but truth be told, he was always a bit of an asshole ( who had some sort of deathwish ). yet ironically enough no one had managed to FINISH THE JOB thus far.  ❛  the bottom line is, you keep showing up at the most inopportune times… kind of makes me think you showing up tonight wasn’t a COINCIDENCE at all, so why don’t you tell me why you’re really here?  ❜
